Speaking on the endorsements, Miles Burnett stated:
“I am so proud to have this impressive group of public servants supporting my candidacy. Their knowledge of government and commitment to local democracy are vital resources to Binghamton and the future Burnett administration,” said Miles Burnett. “To move our city forward, we need strong, dedicated partners like these folks. Each of these current and former elected officials have gained and nurtured the public’s trust and worked hard to deliver for their constituents. That’s exactly what I intend to do as Mayor: work for the people of Binghamton to ensure it is a place where everyone thrives.”
Kinya Middleton, Binghamton City Council Member for the Second District:
“Miles will bring a clear vision back to the Mayor’s office. His platform is full of common sense solutions to our most pressing issues. He realizes that public safety requires a well staffed police department, but that keeping our community safe requires so much more. As Mayor, he’ll build housing, grow our city’s youth services, and promote sustainable economic development. He’ll bring an impressive knowledge of municipal budgets, the New York State budgetary process, and raising revenue through grants to the office and knows how to pull the levers of government to improve our community and get the most from Albany. Miles Burnett has the skills, expertise, and passion Binghamton needs in its next leader.”
Tim Ames, Broome County Legislator for District 15:
“Miles brings a deep understanding of the challenges facing Binghamton and has the real-world experience to tackle them head-on. From the New York City Council to the State Senate, and as a nonprofit leader supporting small businesses, he’s built a track record of delivering for working people. He gets what’s at stake—whether it’s housing, infrastructure, or economic opportunity. As Mayor, Miles will leverage his expertise to build a more prosperous and inclusive future for Binghamton families. After more than 20 years of population out-migration and growing socio-economic disparities, Binghamton needs a new direction. A vote for Miles is a vote for Binghamton’s future!”
