Miles Burnett’s Grassroots Campaign Surges Ahead, Continuing to Out Raise Incumbent in Binghamton Mayor’s Race
Binghamton, NY — The Miles Burnett for Binghamton Mayoral campaign has once again significantly outraised the incumbent Republican and Conservative Party opponent. This is yet another sign Burnett is headed for a win this November in his fight to build a better Binghamton for everyone. As in the previous filing, Burnett brought in over 32% more than the incumbent. With over $130,000 raised from over 550 donors to date, Burnett’s campaign continues to demonstrate strong grassroots support and an energized coalition of Binghamton residents ready for new leadership.
“This campaign has always been about the people of Binghamton and fighting for a future — and these numbers show that our community is ready for change,” said Miles Burnett, Democratic candidate for Mayor. “We’re building a movement powered by neighbors, small donors, and volunteers who believe in more transparent, inclusive, and forward-thinking leadership.”
Burnett bested his opponent in both of this year's campaign filings by 33% and 32%, respectively. In the October periodic filing his campaign brought in $53,256, almost $13,000 more than his opponent did. While in the previous filing, from July, Burnett collected $26,000 more. Burnett currently leads in total fundraising for the 2025 Mayoral contest by $40,000.
“As we head into the final stretch of this race, our message remains clear. Binghamton deserves leadership that listens, collaborates, and delivers results for every neighborhood. I’m proud of the grassroots movement we’ve built and so thankful to those who continue to support our fight for a better city. I’m ready to finish this race strong for the people of Binghamton.”
